Hello, and welcome to the website of the Albert Lea Audubon Society! We hope you enjoy your visit and take advantage of the information offered.
We have been an official chapter of the National Audubon Society since 1948. Our goal is to educate people, young and old, about
the wonders of nature. Most folks connect Audubon to birds and that’s fine. But, we are so much more!
Birds need clean air and water, and a favorable habitat to survive, just like us. In working to provide good habitat for birds, we will inevitably improve our own “habitat”.
Albert Lea Audubon Society is a county-wide non-profit 501(c)(3) organization open to all who want to learn about and help improve our local environment.
We welcome new members and supporters, and any new ideas or suggestions for improvements to our local chapter and any of its projects.
Our special project is the Albert Lea Wildlife Preserve. Please refer to the Preserve page for more information and ways you can help if you so desire. Or, just come out and enjoy it!
From all of us to all of you - Happy Birding and Nature Observation!
Karen Sundal, President
